I am from a small town in Central Appalachia named Luttrell, TN and grew up the daughter of a small business owner and a mother who worked at the local limestone plant. This limestone plant was where I started my first job at at the age of 15, as a scale operator. After attaining an undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and a graduate degree from the University of Kentucky-Lexington, I worked approximately six years in Atlanta, Ga. Two of those years was spent as a Marketing Coordinator in the B2B home decor industry. The last four years were spent as the National Marketing and Sales Director in the B2B parking industry. I received my PhD from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 2017 and am currently working as an Assistant Professor at Ohio University where I teach Professional Selling and act as the Director of Diversity and Internships for the Schey Sales Centre.
